The Cart Shed is a detached converted barn on Gambledown Farm, a working regenerative farm outside Romsey. It sleeps six across two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with underfloor heating throughout, WiFi, bed linen, towels, and electricity all included. You have the whole property to yourself, with parking for two cars on site and a one-dog maximum.
The ground floor holds the main living space—an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room with a wood-burning stove (fuel provided). Full-length doors open onto the front garden with lawn, patio, barbecue and furniture. The master bedroom is a super kingsize on the ground floor, alongside a shower room. Upstairs, the second bedroom has two single day beds, with another shower room nearby. There's a children's play area on the farm. No smoking inside the property.
The Cart Shed is accessed via a farm track. The working farm setting suits families who want countryside space rather than village convenience; you're near Romsey but genuinely in the countryside. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.

Wonderful accommodation - I love that each bedroom has a dedicated bathroom, great Event Space, super-well equipped kitchens & a great sauna/ice-plunge experience with Rob. We've now visited Gambledown three times in the past three years, and each stay has been just as special as the last. This was our first time staying in the barns, and we also had the opportunity to celebrate our 40th birthday in the Events Barn and on the lawn – it was the perfect setting for such a memorable occasion. The location is simply incredible, peaceful, beautifully maintained, and ideal for relaxing with family and friends. Everything is thoughtfully designed, making every visit feel unique while still feeling like coming home. We had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to our next visit. We can't wait to experience the safari tents and cosy evenings around the wood burners. Gambledown has become a place we return to year after year, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at Staddlestone Barn on Gambledown Farm. The accommodation is beautifully set within an ancient oak grain store barn sitting above the ground on Staddlestones on a quiet working farm. Our double room was spotlessly clean and well laid out, very comfortable beds, a great shower and a handy kitchenette that made the stay feel relaxed and self-sufficient. It struck the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern convenience. A fantastic place to stay—we’d highly recommend it and would love to return.
