What a find! This is a real hidden gem that we wished had more time to enjoy. Chock full of history inside the 'house' and plenty of beautiful garden to wander around. Great shop, plant sales and cafe on site too.

What beautiful well-maintained gardens! The peony border and colourful flower beds are just gorgeous. Lots of little details and spots to sit and relax. The children's play area is vast and has lots of room for the kids to run. A good price menu in the café with delicious food and generous portion sizes and a gift shop stocked full of fantastic treats and treasure. We had a great afternoon!

Recently, we had the pleasure of performing at a wedding event here. The castle is spectacularly mysterious, enchanting, and full of character. The room where we performed has marvellous acoustics, making it a real pleasure to play. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a special occasion and would be delighted to perform here again. Check out our videos on our channel and visit our site. SandraandPaul.

This place is stunning! The grounds are absolutely amazing and a wonder to behold and see in person. The historic house is equally amazing and staffed by very friendly guides. The artefacts and paintings and furniture etc etc are fascinating and there is lots to see and read and learn about. There's ample free parking, a nice place to eat (inside or outside) and a very nice gift shop. All of the staff in all areas are very friendly and helpful too.
