A substantial Victorian property built into the clifftop, Babbacombe House commands the Babbacombe Downs directly above Torquay's bay. The building's period character survives in high ceilings and generous proportions; what distinguishes it now is the scale—six bedrooms and five bathrooms arranged across four floors, designed to sleep twelve guests with the whole place to yourselves.
Ground level holds a living room with bay windows overlooking the Downs, a kitchen/dining space equipped for serious cooking, and a bedroom with bunks. The first and second floors contain five further bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom and television. A kitchenette on the third floor serves the upper rooms. A roof terrace opens from the landing. Throughout, essentials like bedding, towels, heating and wifi are covered. The property allows two cars on the drive; smoking is not permitted inside.
This works for large family groups or friends gathering for a coastal stay. Babbacombe Downs itself is accessible for walks, and Torquay's seafront and town centre lie within easy reach.

What an amazing place to stay. The whole place was immaculately clean and all of the rooms were really nicely decorated. Location is fantastic with views from the front of the house overlooking the sea. Just wish we were there in July when the sun should be shining to take advantage of the roof terrace. Can't recommendation highly enough 👍🏼👍🏼😊

The house, was amazing. So luxurious and so clean everywhere. It was like home from home, and the views from the bedrooms and the lounge were beautiful. The food was lovely too, couldn't fault it. And off street parking as well !!!! amazing. Will definitely be coming back and staying here when we visit. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Wow, had lunch here and food selection was brilliant. Excellent quality food. Highly recommend it. Lovely efficient Louise was our waitress. Nothing was to much trouble for her. She worked very very hard, always a smile on her face. Massive thank you to Louise.

Outstanding just had a wedding here wonderful hard working staff made it special. Food amazing the best breakfast. Marian the manager made an excellent job of making the day run so smoothly. Views from hotel Wonderful definitely coming back here.
