First time there. Decent enough basic hotel. I paid extra to book a specific room. Room was clean enough.. No fridge in room. There is a small restaurant which serves as a cafe / bar in the evening, just behind reception. Very limited parking at front of the hotel. Rear car park is quite dark and enclosed. I was concerned about security, they could do with better lighting and security cameras especially as you're paying £7 a night to park. Remember to enter your car registration number into the tablet in reception first and into the car park payment machine to get discounted parking. (Though why anyone other than guests would want to pay to park there I don't know). I would definitely stay again.

❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️ Disgraceful and Unhygienic Room This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The room had an extremely strong smell of urine and cigarette smoke. There were numerous brown and red stains across the carpet, including what appeared to be blood stains. I also found a long hair in the bed, which made me seriously question whether the bedding had been changed or the room had been properly cleaned. I was travelling with my family and could not accept accommodation in such a filthy and unhygienic condition. I reported the matter immediately and refused the room. As a result, I was forced to leave and find another hotel around midnight, causing considerable inconvenience and additional expense. I have photographic evidence showing the condition of the room. No paying guest should ever be given a room smelling of urine and cigarette smoke, with unclean bedding and apparent blood stains on the carpet. Completely unacceptable, disgraceful and extremely disappointing. ❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️

We stayed at the Travel Lodge in Torquay last month. It is a little out of the town center but still easily accessible to all amenities. Being an IT dinosaur I was unable to work the machine to pay for parking however a very helpful male reception worker came out to the machine and mostly did the working out. Full credit to him for his help but this seems to be an issue at other Travel Lodges. So foolishly I left my glasses in the room. I rang the hotel who quickly informed me they had my glasses and agreed to post them to me. I cannot complain at that standard of service

Having read some of the previous reviews I'm wondering if the guests had stayed in a Travelodge before. The rooms and facilities are the same in everyone one. We would not usually pick a travelodge in a resort town but this was a work trip and it offered what we needed with parking. Yes, the car park was small and chargeable but there was plenty of unrestricted parking on the road and I think there was an overflow car park at the rear. We chose to park for free on the road. I rate a travelodge on it's Breakfast and staff and this was by far the best offering than we have had in a long time. Everything often advertised as included was on offer here (which is not always the case I can assure you), it was fresh and plentiful. Alona working the breakfast room and reception during our stay was friendly, chatty, efficient and couldn't do enough for everyone. Very happy with our stay.
