Beech Lodge
Torridge
The Torridge coast offers everything from working fishing villages to broad sandy beaches, with the surf breaks at Westward Ho! and Bude within reach. Beech Lodge sits on a working dairy farm, a short drive inland from this stretch of Devon, close enough to the coast for regular visits but far enough back to feel genuinely quiet. The setting is rural—you're surrounded by 130 acres of farmland—yet the village with its pub is only a mile or so away, and Bideford's restaurants and boat trips to Lundy Island are not far beyond that.
The lodge is a single-storey property with one double bedroom and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The living and dining space has a Freeview TV, DVD and CD player, and an electric woodburner for cooler evenings. Everything is ground-floor, and a cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed. Off-road parking for two cars is on site. Electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi are included, and the place is yours alone—no shared access to other holiday lets.
This is a good base for exploring the Tarka Trail on foot or bike, visiting gardens like RHS Rosemoor, or simply staying put in the Devon countryside. The coast is close enough for day trips but not close enough to bring the seaside crowds to your door. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The property does not permit smoking.
