The Old Barn

You step through the entrance into a converted 18th-century barn with two distinct living areas—a ground floor living and dining room overlooking the sun room, and a galleried snug upstairs. The layout spreads across both storeys: four bedrooms (a double, bunk beds, two singles, and another double with its own shower room) and two bathrooms give everyone their own space. The kitchen is equipped for real cooking, with electric cooker, dishwasher and the usual appliances, while the utility room handles laundry. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included; heating is electric storage.
Outside, a large enclosed garden with patio and barbecue is fenced, allowing dogs to roam freely—one pet stays without extra charge. There is parking for two cars on site. The barn sits in the hamlet of Ford, a couple of miles inland from Bideford and its sandy beach at Westward Ho!, which lies 4 miles away. The North Devon coast nearby offers walking, coastal villages including Clovelly and Appledore, and access to Lundy Island boat trips. RHS Rosemoor and Docton Mill suit garden visits. Family activities including The Big Sheep and Milky Way are close by.
No smoking is permitted. Cots, highchairs and stairgates can be requested. You have the whole property to yourselves.
