Oak Lodge is a single-storey contemporary lodge in Torridge countryside, built around a central terrace that connects nearly every room to the outdoors. Five bedrooms and four bathrooms occupy one wing, with a generous living and dining area, sun room, and fully equipped kitchen arranged to flow onto that same garden space. Four of the five bedrooms have super kingsize beds; the fifth contains bunks for children. Three of the four bathrooms are ensuite to bedrooms; the fourth is a shared shower room.
The layout is largely ground-floor living, which means minimal stairs and easy access throughout. A wood burner warms the main living room, while the sun room doubles as a games and reading space. The kitchen is fully set up for self-catering, with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Wi-Fi and heating are included. Your own hot tub sits on the terrace, and there is private parking for five cars. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. Families and couples are the intended guests; smoking is not permitted.
The setting suits groups wanting space to spread out—couples can retreat to separate areas, while younger children have the garden to explore. Bideford sits on the north Devon coast, making this a base for both seaside visits and countryside walks.

Location is gorgeous, quiet and private. Regularly see deer in the garden and this year also had a hare which visited each day. Lodge is welcoming, clean, warm and very well equipped. You don't realise how big the lodge is until you've seen it for yourself. Hosts are very approachable, efficient and professional. Highly highly recommend, holiday lets don't get much better than this.

Fantastic accommodation. Very spacious and comfortable. We came with a party of eight adults for an 80th birthday celebration - and there was plenty of room to spare. We were lucky with the weather and made good use of the hot tub, patio and BBQ. Terrific facilities overall. The house might (for some) be a little remote, but that was the attraction for us. A car is necessary to explore this beautiful area, we would certainly return. Five stars.
