It was my first time visiting this restaurant. The food was good with plenty of choices on the menu. What I liked most was the comfortable seating and the lovely atmosphere. I really enjoyed the overall dining experience.

This is a fantastic new Chinese restaurant. The decor is really nice and the place feels spacious and comfortable. The food is some of the best Chinese I’ve had in the area. Everything was excellent. It was very busy when we visited, which is always a good sign, and the service was attentive and friendly The dim sum tasted fresh and well-made, and I especially recommend the soups - they were outstanding. Highly recommended!

Amazing from start to finish. Was served by the manager. I sat outside as I had my dog with me. Pretty close to everyone walking past but that's on me as I had my dog but just making you aware people will be right next to you whilst eating. Was handed the drink and food menu and was a bit disappointed as there was set menu 1,2&3 and set 4 said minimum order of 3 person but all the others did not. So I asked for that and was told it's a minimum of 2 people. That needs to be updated on the menu because that was what I came here for and I was alone. So had to quickly ask for some recommendations and this is where the manger showed his class, explained everything and didn't try to over sell me anything. In fact he recommended boiled rice as I was having the roast meat trio and he said you want to taste the meats so get the boiled rice. He easily could have up sold me but didn't. And when I went to order more he said no that's enough. Glad I listened because I still had to take some home. I ordered Da Hong pao (tea), crystal scallop dumplings, prawn crab and spinach dumplings, prawn and crispy red rice skin cheu (their specialty) and the trio of meats with steamed rice. The dumplings were perfectly cooked and came with a side of soy sauce and chilli oil, then I tried the crispy red rice dish and it was perfect. Soft silky outside with the crunchy inner made a perfect texture. But the star of the show was the trio of meats. Cooked to perfection and the sauce was rich but not overpowering. Went perfect with the steamed rice. Total came to around £70 but I did not need that much food, I just wanted to try a few items but sadly I couldn't order the set menu. Definitely needs to be updated to say minimum of two people. But anyway great food, great service and lovely staff will definitely be back. Beautiful views over st Catherines dock too.

Banquet 88 puts a brilliant, local twist on traditional dim sum. We tried the dim sum afternoon tea, and every bite was exceptional quality. It’s the perfect spot for a special occasion, especially with the gorgeous views the restaurant offers. A must-visit!
