What diners say
My wife and I had the pleasure of having lunch at The INDIAN – Monument Restaurant, just a short walk from Monument Station. At first, we were hesitant because it's tucked away on a quiet side street, but it truly turned out to be a hidden gem. The food was delicious, authentic, and the portions were very generous—we left completely satisfied. A special thank you to Mr. Chaand (I hope I've spelled your name correctly 😊), whose calm, friendly, and professional service made our visit even more enjoyable. One small note: the Mango Kulfi tasted more like mango ice cream shaped as a kulfi. However, the Mango Delight was absolutely delicious and definitely worth ordering. If you're looking for great Indian food near the Tower of London, we highly recommend this cosy restaurant. We'll certainly be back!

Warm welcome by staff Good seating arrangements I didnt prebook table , still got one Food didn't take time Ordered starters ans main course Good portion size Taste was way better than many other contemporaries. I only had issues not finding any staff as waited too long to get water. But that apart, rest experience was good.

The food is OK but nothing special and no better than Indian food in NYC. I had high hopes for this place which has high ratings and in London, id expect the best Indian food outside India but not bad but not amazing. Our cost was £53 but only bc we had a special offer we found which we had to remind them to honor it. So at this price, I'd say it's a 4 star location. However folks who paying full price, I'd give 3 stars. As a result I'd give the average, 3.5 stars overall but since we can't, I'll give 5 stars. We had the chicken tika masala and it was not to spicy but not enough flavor either. The samosas seemed precooked . The atmosphere is SUPER dark and loud.. you're in a basement and the bathroom has a pee trough... again, not a bad place but I wouldn't try again. This is the 4th time I've eaten Indian in London... i can officially say now that for me, the best Indian outside India... is NYC.

Absolutely brilliant in every respect! Great service, amazing food and extremely good value for money! Also, such a nice touch to enjoy an after dinner drink at the bar/sofa area before leaving! Wonderful experience 🤩
