Friendly, welcoming service for the most part. Hotel is dated and cleaning needs improvement (thick dust on edges of cupboard, bits on room seating, marks on comforters, crooked pictures). Conservatory/breakfast room is pleasant, but breakfast service was poor and breakfast was ok (need to drain fat from eggs and work on presentation/product quality). Hotel will be in new hands from Oct 2026 - could be a fab boutique hotel with more local touches - at present it's ok but not great.

Went on an organised bus tour. Staff really lovely and helpful. Room was massive and good for wheelchair access. Bit run down in places eg holes in net curtains but still l9vely. Beds comfy. Food was lovely. Can't fault it.

A charming, family-owned hotel in a great location near Royal Troon and the seafront. The staff are exceptionally friendly, the food and drink is excellent, and the sea-view rooms add to the experience. While some rooms are traditional rather than modern, the hotel offers strong value, authentic Scottish hospitality, and is an ideal base for a golf trip.

Lovely hotel, excellent food (dinner), scrambled egg and toast beautifully. First class staff. Lovely rooms, comfy beds. Only fault was drafts in rooms 234 and 235, window warped in 234, small window would not close in 235 hence the drafts. We forgot to take our fresh roses we got last night 😮💨, left them in the bathroom room 234 x
