Nice Campsite on a working farm. Friendly and helpful manager who has a reassuring presence around the site and is available after hours should an emergency occur. Clean and functional full facilities including showers, toilets, kitchen, heated dining room and washing machine. We stayed in a non powered tent site. Fire pits available for free, just supply your own wood. Plenty of space, and lovely views of the surrounding hills. Well stocked farm shop available during normal work hours.

We booked a pod for two nights. The weather has been bad during our stay and our opportunity to have nice walks in the area was limited, so the pod is more important to have a nice break in the countryside. The pod we had was well maintained and clean. Also the toilet, shower, and kitchen block was in a very clean state. The service staff is very friendly. We would definitely like to come back some time and hope the weather will be better that time.

We camped and loved it, great site well laid out, lots of amazing walks, really nice wee shop that sells hot drinks. Great shower and toilet block, has a great sized communal kitchen which is stocked with kitchen essentials and has a seating area with 3 tables . Would highly recommend. The man who runs the site is very friendly and helpful, the wee shop is well stocked and has lots of little souvenirs.

I really liked it here. We stayed just after Christmas. The people running the place we helpful and nice. Everything was clean and tidy, the Wigwam provided warmth and enough comfort to enjoy ourselves on a 3 day walking holiday. The cooking and cleaning facilities were good overall although I imagine they could get a little busy during peak months. The shop was decent enough for our needs and there are 2 villages nearby, we ate there one night and found the restaurant to be decent. Walking direct from the site was good. We took a path and got to the top of a pretty big hill with snow on top. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go again. Not sure why they have a cockerel, it's s holiday destination. That seems wrong to me.
