About The Ferry Boat Inn
The Ferry Boat Inn sits directly on Shore Street above Loch Broom, its bar a long-standing fixture of Ullapool's evening scene and a short walk from the terminal for the Stornoway ferry. Its nine en-suite bedrooms are decorated in a modern style, with some looking directly across the loch towards the mountains.
The on-site Blue Kazoo Seafood Cafe serves local catches alongside a bar stocked with real ales, wines and a substantial whisky selection, making the inn a popular choice for dinner even among guests staying elsewhere in town. Breakfast is included and served each morning ahead of ferry sailings or a day out on the water.
Its harbourfront position and lively bar suit visitors who want to be in the middle of things, within a couple of minutes of the quay, shops and the ferry terminal.

What guests say
We stayed in room 5 last night. The room has not been cleaned properly in some time. There are large number of surfaces with a lot of dirt or dust on them as though cleaning is being completed as quickly as possible. The remote control for the television was also very very dirty, I tried to clean it myself. The window in our room was open when we arrived and still open when we left as it wouldn't close. The toilet roll holder was broken but the hotel are continuing to just using it (the toilet rolls fell of every time we used them). Lastly, the toilet seat moved significantly when being used. Absolutely not worth the money we paid for our room. On the other hand, other members of my family had room 8 and didn't have the same issues. Additionally, both members of staff that we met were very helpful especially the person who helped us check in when we arrived at 11pm.

Clean, serviceable room above the restaurant. It was a little noisy when live music was playing, but it did not keep us awake. We had several issues with the room (working the locks, power outlets) but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Service was warm and friendly - they even chased us down when we dropped a jacket as we were leaving. Not a luxury stay, but a great view of the harbour and a good opportunity to mingle with guests and locals.

Easy to find, our room was clean but up 3 flights of stairs. Bathroom and shower was good but the toilet seat was hanging on by a thread. Couldn't close the bedroom window, it wasn't in good condition and the curtains weren't big enough to close out the light. Food was good but expensive.

We are in room 6 in your establishment. It is not clean. Dust all over and behind bedside tables. Toilet is dirty. Toothpaste stuck to the sink. Tile grout in a bad way. Dirty and discoloured. We seem to be above a workshop!!!! The noise from barrels being moved about is horrendous. The extraction fans are on and are making so much noise i don't think we will get any sleep. £145 for this dump and extra for breakfast!!@ your having a laugh. Ill be demanding my money be refunded. I have been in much better places for much less money. Very very disappointed at the start of our long awaited holiday. The manageress was very pleasant when we arrived Ill see her tomorrow morning before we leave. If there were any vacancies elsewhere we'd leave right now. Do not book this place. It needs a refurbishment and a deep clean.

Diners like this pub's delicious seafood, including fresh oysters and mussels, and hearty fish and chips. They also highlight the friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and stunning views of the harbor.
Some reviews mention the rooms can be poorly maintained.
