Megan's in the Tonsleys - Wandsworth

Megan's is a cute, charming place in a very convenient location, and the flavors of the food we did receive were good. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. After being seated, the hostess promised to bring menus, only to return a few minutes later to tell us they were out of a dish we hadn't actually ordered. Once we finally received menus and were ready to order, we were informed that several items were unavailable—including the halloumi, their signature fries, and the buttermilk fried chicken. This information only came out as we attempted to order each item. Service felt slow, and we later realized it was because our starters were served at exactly the same time as our mains. We had also ordered the signature fries and our order was initially accepted, only for another staff member to return later and tell us they had run out. Since our menus had already been taken away, we reluctantly agreed to substitute sweet potato fries instead. The biggest issue came with the Greek grilled chicken salad, which arrived without the chicken. The missing chicken was eventually brought out separately on a plate, leaving us to finish assembling the dish ourselves at the table. The menu also listed Kalamata olives, but none were included and no one mentioned they were unavailable. None of these issues on their own would have ruined the meal, but taken together they created the impression of a restaurant struggling with communication, inventory management, and attention to detail. It's a shame, because the food itself was enjoyable and the venue has a lot of charm. With better execution, this could have been a very different review.

Visited Megan’s on the Tonsleys today with my partner and had a great time. We were warmly welcomed by our server Tania who was a standout! She paired her drinks recommendations to what we’d ordered, which made a real difference, and checked in on us throughout without ever feeling intrusive. We had the chorizo shakshouka, a proper, filling portion and full of flavour. The coffee was excellent. The whole place has a relaxed, unhurried feel that’s hard to find. Tania’s the kind of server who elevates a good meal into a genuinely enjoyable visit. We’ll be back! ❣️

We were here for the family dinner.. the food was amazing.. service was top notch.. special thank to Pieter, bikesh and saurab for looking after us .. we had such a lovely time with family.. highly recommended.. we will definitely be back for sure..

This is a charming cafe with delicious food and really lovely staff! I ordered the blueberry chia waffles which was perfection. Tania was excellent in taking care of us and we definitely intend to return!
