About Coplow Woodland Retreat

Tucked into quiet Warwickshire woodland near Warwick, Coplow Woodland Retreat offers an intimate cluster of off-grid glamping shelters – two cosy pods, a shepherd's hut and a distinctive roundhouse wooden yurt – all welcoming dogs, making it ideal for four-legged adventurers. Families appreciate the tranquil, screen-free setting (there's no WiFi), and the site stays open year-round for those seeking woodland calm whatever the season.

Basic facilities cover the essentials – showers, toilets and drinking water – though the emphasis here is firmly on simple, back-to-nature stays rather than creature comforts. With a strong 4.9 Google rating, it's a solid, peaceful base for exploring Warwick Castle, the surrounding countryside, or simply settling into the rhythm of the woods with your pup by your side.

As a family we spent a wonderful long weekend at Coplow and would recommend it to anyone, couples or families. We were a group of 7, so booked Ash, Oak and the Roundhouse and they were all excellent, warm, clean and well equipped and in a magical woodland setting. The retreat is also close to Warwick and Stratford, so plenty of places to visit if you want to venture out. The cabins are well spaced allowing privacy, but each with enough outside space around the fire pit/ BBQ for everyone to congregate (particularly the Roundhouse) and we spent a good few hours of our trip just chilling. We had a great family evening in the BBQ hut and my grandson Casper aged 9 particularly liked the stargazing and never once missed his screen time! We had an early Easter egg hunt, organised by Grandad and as the grounds are so spacious, it took 6 of us to find them all! We can't thank Anneli and Jonny enough for their warm welcome, they are a lovely couple and as the trip was for a special Birthday, they left us some nice surprises. All in all a wonderful few days and we will definitely be back!

I love this place! I have been there three times. I have stayed in both of the Cabins with my two children. They love the surroundings and the adventure, and it's so nice to go back to basics with them make fires, smores and play cards. I have also taken some time out for myself and spent a weekend in the Beech hut. I had some peace, quiet, a bit of mindfulness, and enjoyed the country walks. Every time it's been amazing, no matter what the weather does, it's beautiful. They really look after you there, but equally leave you alone if you want it.

We were so delighted to find such a beautiful place so close to where we live, since we travel all over the country hunting for peaceful cabins and being immersed in nature. Coplow is perfect. You could arrive and not leave for your whole stay. The woodland is utterly stunning with giant, ancient oaks. The views are breathtaking. Oak cabin was a cosy home away from home with the comfiest bed EVER. We can’t wait to come back soon. Thank you, Anneli and Johnny, for a beautiful family holiday!

Would highly recommend and we will definitely come back. We had an amazing mid week break at the Coplow Woodland Retreat. We haven’t had a holiday since 2019 and this was exactly what we needed to get away, relax and reset. Anneli and Johnny the owners were so warm, welcoming and informative. The hut we had (Beech Hut) was super magical and cosy and the workmanship of the hut was stunning. We loved that everything was eco so working with the environment and not against it or disturbing it. You could really feel the love of land by the owners by how everything was thought of and how the site has been set out. The cabins, little seating areas, swings etc for adults and children all having their own special view point. A truly magical and inspiring place. We went in November which was so pretty with the vibrant change of colours of the autumn leaves. We would love to come back in a different season to see how the woodland changes. Thank you Anneli and Johnny for being amazing hosts. We loved our cabin and stay so much we didn’t want to leave.
