About Holiday Inn Express Warwick - Stratford-upon-Avon

This Holiday Inn Express sits on Longbridge Island at the edge of Warwick, close to the M40 and within easy reach of both the town centre and Stratford-upon-Avon. It is a modern, purpose-built hotel with the reliable, no-frills formula the brand is known for: comfortable rooms, complimentary Wi-Fi and a straightforward breakfast included in most rates.

Rooms are simply furnished but well maintained, with blackout curtains and air conditioning making it a practical choice for both business travellers passing through the Midlands and families using Warwick as a base for the castle and Stratford-upon-Avon. Free on-site parking is a genuine advantage over the town-centre hotels, where parking space is limited and often charged separately.

The hotel's edge-of-town position means a short drive rather than a walk into Warwick itself, but with the M40 a couple of minutes away and Stratford-upon-Avon around twenty minutes by car, it works well as a straightforward, well-priced base for exploring the wider area rather than a boutique stay in its own right.

I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express during a business trip. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful, and the team serving breakfast was friendly and welcoming every morning. I also appreciated how promptly the reception team responded to my email queries before my arrival. I had requested a quiet room away from the main hallway, and they were able to accommodate my request perfectly. If you're looking for a quieter stay, rooms in the 16x or 26x series seemed to have the least noise. One negative aspect was the AC. It was too noisy and horrible throughout the night. This was in a room during my second stay but the first stay was good though. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience(apart from the AC) and would definitely recommend this hotel to colleagues and anyone traveling to the city for business.

This was our first stay at this hotel, and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were approachable, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay. We received discounted parking for 2 nights at just £11, which was a bargain. We requested a ground floor room as we were travelling with our dog. There was a £30 charge for the dog, which we thought was fair. The room was clean and a lovely temperature when we arrived, and the bathroom was spotless. I was especially happy to see Dove products provided in the shower. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but it was fine for a 2-night stay. The window was a little difficult to open, but with a bit of strength we managed. One thing to be aware of is the step into the shower, I didn’t notice it and unfortunately fell into the shower, maybe a warning sticker or marking would be helpful, for future guests. The location was great, just a short drive to both Warwick and Stratford, making for a lovely couple of days away. We also felt very safe taking the dog out late at night for her final toilet visit. I have sleep apnea and there wasn’t a plug socket next to the bed, but the staff were extremely accommodating and quickly provided me with an extension lead. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would happily return.

We had an aircon and light issue at 4am but the staff were tip top and exemplary...we were given a spare room and extra parking till late on the 25th and the whole 3 days we were treated like we were special. Big thanks to Josh on Recep tion what a great lad and so helpful.. Renee on reception who was just fantastic...and the star was Trish...nothing was too much trouble and she was an absolute star and credit to the hotel..well done team...you played a blinder..we left happy and will be back again
