3 Townhead Cottages

3 Townhead Cottages is a Victorian stone cottage on the edge of Grasmere, positioned on a working farm with direct views towards Helm Crag and Steel Fell. The cottage works well for couples or families of four, with two bedrooms, one bathroom and its own private garden. A single step leads into the ground floor, where you'll find a living and dining room with a multi-fuel stove and smart TV, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. The bedrooms upstairs consist of one double and two single beds. The bathroom was newly fitted in 2023 and includes both bath and shower.

The spaces retain their original character—flagged floors, oak beams and period detailing—but combine this with modern comfort. Electricity and bed linen are included, along with heating via electric storage and underfloor systems. The enclosed garden has furniture and access from the ground floor, and there is parking for two cars on site plus a bike store. A cot is available if needed. Grasmere village itself is a short walk away with bakeries, a co-op and tea shops. Non-smokers only.
