View on Google MapsWindermere town centre is pedestrianised and walkable, with independent shops, cafes and bars along its streets. The pier at Bowness—home to the famous lake steamers—is a short stroll away. The train station serves the wider region, and several bus routes run through town, including the open-top 599 Lakes Rider. Most visitors find they can leave the car parked and explore on foot or by public transport.
Alexandra Cottage sits on a quiet residential street and spans three floors. Downstairs there's a living room with Freeview TV and DVD player, a dining room, and a kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, microwave and full-size washing machine. A shower room completes the ground floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and a bathroom with bath and shower. On the second floor is a third single bedroom. The property sleeps five and has two bathrooms, so there's genuine space. A patio at the rear has garden furniture. One dog stays free. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included.
