Just got back from a two day stay in this Guesthouse. It was a wonderful experience, with such welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We just finished a wonderful 4 night stay at Rocklea. The location is an easy 10 min walk from the train station, and you’re perfectly situated between Windermere and Bowness, on a quiet road right beside a stream. The rooms were beautiful, clean and the beds were very, very comfortable. Liz and Chris were fantastic hosts, so knowledgeable about the area and helped us out by suggesting walks/hikes/activities based on our interests and the weather. The breakfast was also absolutely delicious each morning. Would highly recommend Rocklea, thank you Liz and Chris!

We have just had a wonderful stay with Liz and Chris who are great hosts. Liz is really passionate and informative about places in the lakes places to go and eat etc. The bnb is lovely , such comfortable beds and the breakfasts were really enjoyable and tasty with a nice variety. We had the twin downstairs room really lovely view of the garden and sound of the water from the Brook was so relaxing. Would highly recommend and will come back. I love the lakes my first time and it is is spectacular. Thank you Liz and Chris x

Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Rocklea. Liz and Chris are the perfect hosts and very welcoming. The room was clean, bright and comfortable, with fresh milk and water topped up every day in the fridge.The breakfasts were amazing, cooked fresh every morning by Chris with so much choice. Rocklea is situated within a walking distance of Windermere Town with nice cafes and restaurants, also a 15/20 min walk into Bowness to the lake with plenty of restaurants/pubs. .Also the buses are excellant stopping at different places along the lake. I would highly recommend Rocklea and would certainly be back.
