Beck Cottage is a traditional stone building set in countryside outside Appleby-in-Westmorland, with Banley Beck flowing alongside. The cottage is yours alone for the stay, with parking for two cars and a garden with seating. One well-behaved dog stays free, though note the beck runs unfenced beside the property.
Downstairs holds a living room with woodburner and TV, plus a kitchen/dining space with electric cooker, microwave and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and a shower room. Bed linen, towels and logs for the stove are provided, along with electricity. A cot and highchair are available if needed.
Appleby's market town is two miles away with shops and pubs. The Eden Valley setting suits those wanting to walk or cycle, with the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District within reach for day trips. Durham and Carlisle are also accessible for longer excursions. No smoking indoors.

A lovely cottage in a quite friendly village with beautiful scenery. The cottage is clean with plenty of room a modern shower in the bathroom. The lady who owns it lives next door which is very handy if you need anything, otherwise she leaves you to your own devices. We will visit again .
