Doomgate Cottage is a two-bedroom base for four people, renovated in 2025, where you have the whole place to yourself. The ground floor holds a living and dining room with a wood-burning stove and Smart TV, plus a separate kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms with kingsize beds and a shower room.

The essentials are covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with logs for the stove. Out the back is an enclosed garden with a sitting area, and there's on-road parking. A pub lies within a mile. Doomgate welcomes one pet free of charge. No smoking inside. It suits couples, small families or friends after a base for exploring the fells and valleys, or simply spending time in the quieter reaches of Westmorland.
