Blencathra Retreat - Latrigg View
Westmorland and Furness
Blencathra Retreat - Latrigg View sits on the lower slopes of one of the Lake District's most distinctive peaks, in countryside where sheep farming still shapes the landscape. The mountain dominates views from the front garden, and walking routes start from the doorstep. The cottage is a single-storey building sleeping up to five guests across three bedrooms: one with a super king bed, one with two singles, and a smaller single room. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower, and a living and dining room with a woodburner.
The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer for self-catering. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered. Off-road parking for two cars is on site, and there's space to store bikes. One dog is welcome, though the property asks that pets stay on a lead due to the sheep in the surrounding area. The cottage sits on flat ground with step-free access.
Families and walkers make up much of the visitor base; a travel cot and highchair are available on request. The setting is genuinely rural, with the fells immediately accessible and the nearest villages a short drive away.
