Carrie’s Gate

Carrie's Gate is a character stone cottage positioned above Coniston, with views across the water towards the surrounding fell range. The building sits in a quiet spot that puts you within reach of both the lake shore and the higher ground beyond—Coniston Old Man and its neighbouring peaks are genuinely close by for walking. The cottage is yours alone, with private parking for two cars and a detached garden.

Inside, two double bedrooms and one single sleep five. There is one bathroom on the ground floor with a cubicle shower, and heating comes from gas central plus a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has electric and gas cookers, a dishwasher, and everything else needed to cook properly; essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are covered. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. Three steps lead up to the entrance.

Coniston village is downhill, with a pub within a mile and a good range of independent shops and eating places nearby. A dog can stay with you at no extra cost. No smoking inside the property.
