Windermere draws walkers, cyclists and families year-round, and Coppice View offers a self-contained base for eight people exploring the town and the wider Lake District. The property is a restored townhouse with four bedrooms spread across two floors and five bathrooms, so there is genuine space for groups or extended families. A woodburning stove in the main sitting room, wifi throughout and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking make it comfortable for longer stays in any season.
The layout centres on a sociable breakfast kitchen-diner, with an additional sitting area on the lower ground floor opening onto a rear garden. Bedrooms include doubles with en-suite facilities and flexible sleeping options. Essentials are covered: electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. A pub lies within a mile, and the property is no-smoking throughout. Check-in is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.

Didn’t have the best time here for my birthday. Was greeted as we arrived and she was very friendly and gave lots of information but that was the only time we saw her until we was leaving 2 days later. The room wasn’t value for money, lots of cobwebs and bathroom floor was not the cleanest. Very hard mattress and lots of road noise made sleeping very hard. Breakfast was ok but definitely not value for money, porched eggs tasted of vinegar, they advertise a off site health spa but this was never told to us or offered and when we wanted to use it there was no one around to ask where it was as just a number left in reception for emergencys , good location tho. Gutted as from all the b and b offers on booking.com we chose this one which really disappointed us. The room we were in was definitely not worth the amount of money we paid for it.

We are just back from 2 lovely nights at this beautiful guest house. It is spotlessly clean, breakfast was delicious. All made fresh to order. Beverly is so friendly and welcoming and has a wealth of local knowledge and information. Would definitely use again if down that way. Thank you Beverly.

We stayed in a room in the Annex, and would like to stay and try the other rooms in the future! Hosts Beverly and Neil are very friendly and professional, provided helpful information before and during the stay. The breakfast was delicious (best mushrooms I’ve had!) and offer vegan/vegetarian options. We liked that the meals are requested the night before and are prepared fresh in the morning (also reduces food waste, we hope!). I would only change to book directly with them and bot through Booking.com next time, now that we have found them :)

If you are looking for a quiet, family run guest house in Windermere this is the place to go. Within walking distance of tourist spots but not on top of it all. Beverly and her family made us feel so very welcome from the moment we arrived. She was very friendly and approachable and had a vast knowledge of all things Windermere. She gave us personal recommendations of places to see and eat. Could not fault anything about the place at all. The breakfast was probably the best breakfast I have had staying at a b&b / guest house. All local produce not frozen, piping hot with a great selection of fruits, yoghurt and cereals to choose from too. Thank you so much for making my wife's birthday weekend trip one to remember for all of the right reasons. We will 100% stay here again next time we visit the lakes.
