Birch Lodge is a detached single-storey lodge built to work entirely on one level, with everything from the bedrooms to the kitchen on the ground floor. It sleeps four across a double room with its own bathroom and a twin room served by a separate shower room. The open-plan living and dining space has a sofa bed as well if flexible sleeping arrangements help; the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking with an electric oven, dishwasher and combined washer-dryer.

Outside, your private hot tub overlooks landscaped grounds shared with other properties on site. There is parking for two cars and a terrace with garden furniture. The lodge includes heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi; bring nothing beyond your clothes and toiletries. No smoking indoors. A fenced pond sits 100 yards away in the grounds.

Ulverston itself is five minutes by car, a market town with independent shops and restaurants along cobbled streets, and the starting point for the Cumbrian Way if you fancy walking. The South Lakes Safari Zoo is ten minutes away. Walney Island and Newby Bridge—home to boat trips on Windermere and the Lakes Aquarium—are twenty minutes' drive, and Barrow-in-Furness is nearby for larger shops and amenities.

Great place to stay with comfortable lodges with modern amenities. Clean and well cared for, hot tubs were great, lovely views of the countryside.

We have stayed in Pine Lodge for 2 years in a row now and have loved it each time. It is such a cosy, peaceful place to stay. Amenities in the lodge are great and we have no complaints at all. Jules was also really helpful and kind in advising us of a local bonfire night firework display which we attended. We were also offered a later checkout as it was my birthday on the day we were leaving. It is about a 5/10 minute drive into the town of Ulverston and not far from Windermere and other nearby towns. We will definitely be returning again and it will likely become an annual visit for us! Thanks again to Jules and family for being so accommodating and providing great communication, we would definitely recommend a stay here!

We had an amazing stay at Pine lodge ! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lodge was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The location was perfect—secluded enough for peace and quiet, yet close to Ulverston . The views from the lodge were breathtaking. Overall, this was one of the best holiday lodges we’ve stayed in, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat!
