Larch Lodge works well for couples or small families wanting a self-contained base near the Lake District. The lodge is detached and ground-floor throughout, with two bedrooms—one double with ensuite bathroom, one twin with a separate shower room—and a spacious open-plan living area with kitchen, dining space and sofa bed. All essentials are covered: heating, linen, towels and wi-fi are included, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking from scratch.
Your own terrace overlooks landscaped grounds shared with other properties on site, and there's a private hot tub for four. Parking is available for two cars. Ulverston itself is five minutes away—a market town with historic streets and independent shops—and the Cumbrian Way walking route starts here. The South Lakes Safari Zoo, Newby Bridge and Windermere are within 20 minutes' drive, making this a practical base for exploring the region without staying deep in the fells. The grounds include a fenced pond roughly 100 yards away. Smoking is not permitted in the lodge.

We have stayed in Pine Lodge for 2 years in a row now and have loved it each time. It is such a cosy, peaceful place to stay. Amenities in the lodge are great and we have no complaints at all. Jules was also really helpful and kind in advising us of a local bonfire night firework display which we attended. We were also offered a later checkout as it was my birthday on the day we were leaving. It is about a 5/10 minute drive into the town of Ulverston and not far from Windermere and other nearby towns. We will definitely be returning again and it will likely become an annual visit for us! Thanks again to Jules and family for being so accommodating and providing great communication, we would definitely recommend a stay here!

We had an amazing stay at Pine lodge ! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lodge was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The location was perfect—secluded enough for peace and quiet, yet close to Ulverston . The views from the lodge were breathtaking. Overall, this was one of the best holiday lodges we’ve stayed in, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat!

Had a wonderful week here. Great base to explore the lake district and local area. The lodge was great had everthing you needed and the hot tub with lovely views topped of a very relaxing and peaceful stay. I Definitely recommend staying here..
