The South Lakes Safari Zoo is a ten-minute drive from Oak Lodge, and Ulverston's market town centre five minutes away. From there, the Cumbrian Way stretches 70 miles through the region. Walney Island and Newby Bridge are twenty minutes' drive—the latter home to the Lakes Aquarium and Windermere boat trips. Barrow-in-Furness offers shopping, restaurants and a golf course nearby, while Lake District National Park is accessible for walks and exploration from the lodge's location.
This is a contemporary lodge on a single level, sleeping four across two bedrooms: a double and a twin. Both have ensuite or dedicated shower facilities. The open-plan living and dining space includes a sofa bed and a fifty-inch smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering—electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer are all here. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered. Outside, a private hot tub sits on the terrace overlooking shared landscaped grounds. Parking for two cars is provided on site. No smoking is permitted in the lodge.

Great place to stay with comfortable lodges with modern amenities. Clean and well cared for, hot tubs were great, lovely views of the countryside.

We have stayed in Pine Lodge for 2 years in a row now and have loved it each time. It is such a cosy, peaceful place to stay. Amenities in the lodge are great and we have no complaints at all. Jules was also really helpful and kind in advising us of a local bonfire night firework display which we attended. We were also offered a later checkout as it was my birthday on the day we were leaving. It is about a 5/10 minute drive into the town of Ulverston and not far from Windermere and other nearby towns. We will definitely be returning again and it will likely become an annual visit for us! Thanks again to Jules and family for being so accommodating and providing great communication, we would definitely recommend a stay here!

We had an amazing stay at Pine lodge ! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lodge was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The location was perfect—secluded enough for peace and quiet, yet close to Ulverston . The views from the lodge were breathtaking. Overall, this was one of the best holiday lodges we’ve stayed in, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat!

Had a wonderful week here. Great base to explore the lake district and local area. The lodge was great had everthing you needed and the hot tub with lovely views topped of a very relaxing and peaceful stay. I Definitely recommend staying here..
