Dale View

Little Langdale sits in a fold of the Langdale Pikes, surrounded by some of the Lake District's most dramatic fell country. Dale View is a detached cottage at the heart of the hamlet, combining stone walls and traditional features with contemporary comfort. It sleeps eight across four bedrooms—three upstairs, one in a separate ground-floor annexe—with three bathrooms between them. The whole property is yours alone, ideal for two families or a group who want space to spread out but shared areas to gather.

The main house centres on an open-plan ground floor with kitchen, dining and living space anchored by a woodburner, plus a second living room and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. One bedroom has its own ensuite; the others share a family bathroom with both bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering. Outside, an enclosed garden has seating and furniture, and you can park four cars on site. One well-behaved pet stays free. The property does not permit smoking.

This is walking and cycling country. The Langdale Pikes rise immediately around you, crossed by numerous routes from gentle valley walks to serious fell days. National Cycle Network Route 37 runs through the valley, connecting Ambleside and Ulverston. The Three Shires Inn is within reach for when you want to eat out, and there is bike storage on the property.
