Doddick Farm Cottages - Darci’s Lodge
Westmorland and Furness
The lower slopes of Blencathra sit on the edge of the Lake District, with Keswick five miles away and smaller villages within walking distance. Doddick Farm Cottages – Darci's Lodge is a purpose-built detached timber lodge on this working sheep and beef farm, designed as a self-contained base for two people and their dog.
The lodge is arranged across two floors. Ground level contains an open-plan living and dining space with a 32-inch TV, a kitchen fitted with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, and a shower room. Upstairs is a double bedroom with beams. A south-facing patio with garden furniture opens from the living area. One dog may stay (it must be kept on a lead because of the livestock on the farm), and there is parking for one car on site.
Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The nearest pubs are roughly a mile away in Scales or Threlkeld. Keswick Golf Club sits directly across the road, and Keswick itself – with its restaurants, shops and Theatre by the Lake – is just five miles down the A66. No smoking inside the lodge.
