An inn serving real ales and local food sits practically next door, while the Lake District's walking routes fan out in all directions. Bowness-on-Windermere is ten minutes' drive away, Ambleside twenty, and Grasmere with Rydal Caves within thirty. The Lyth Valley pod itself stands detached on wooded grounds, completed in 2022 to a high standard and decorated in country style with natural wood and neutral tones.
Everything is on the ground floor: a bedroom with kingsize bed and Smart TV, open-plan living and dining space, and a kitchen with a full cooker, fridge and French doors onto your private terrace. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One dog is welcome, and the owners provide a height-adjustable food bowl, quick-drying towel and waste bags. The property has its own water supply from a borehole and parking for one car on site. It sleeps two and is yours alone; check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00. No smoking.

What guests say
Beautiful, stunning views along either side of the valley. An abundance of damsons for sale in autumn.

It's a horrible place to be. It was just a shed. Bathrooms and toilets were outside. Portable toilet outside the cottage, which was stinky. There is no hot water supply in the bathroom to take a shower. Even a camping place would have been better than this. Even an animal does live in a better place than this. "No Refund Policy". Hate this place. Booked it for 3 days but checked out within 8 hours. Trust me. Don't book it, don't stay here. Pay a little more and search for better options.
