Moor House comes ready to use. Electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included, along with initial logs for the wood burner. The kitchen has everything needed for self-catering: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. There's a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and extra fridge-freezer, so you won't run short of space or facilities.

The five bedrooms and three bathrooms make this a generously proportioned family home. Ground floor offers a double bedroom with ensuite shower, a separate toilet, plus a living room with a 40" smart TV and wood burner, and a dining room. Upstairs are four more bedrooms – another double and three singles arranged in various combinations – with a family bathroom and a second separate toilet. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Outside, the enclosed lawned garden has a sitting area, furniture and a barbecue; parking for three cars is on site.

Penrith sits between the Eden Valley and the Lake District fells, handy for exploring all three. A pub is a mile away on foot, with a restaurant half a mile further, and shops two miles distant. The property is no-smoking, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.
