Ousby Barns - Corn Rigg Cottage

Corn Rigg Cottage is a converted barn in rural Westmorland, near Langwathby in the Eden Valley. The single bedroom holds a double bed, and there's a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs, the open-plan living and kitchen space means you're not far from the wood burner while cooking or from the sofa while it warms the room. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, so you can prepare proper meals rather than relying on takeaways. Initial fuel for the wood burner is included, along with bed linen, towels and wi-fi; heating comes from an air source heat pump.

The cottage sits on its own with private parking for two cars and a back garden with patio and chiminea. Pets stay free, and there's a travel cot and highchair if you need them. The location gives easy reach to the M6, the Lake District and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nearby villages have local shops, pubs and restaurants; Ullswater and regional castles are within a short drive. No smoking is permitted inside.
