The North Pennines and Eden Valley surround this part of Westmorland and Furness, and Toms Cottage puts you within reach of some genuine pulling power. The Old Village Bakery in Melmerby is a short walk, as is the pub with its food menu. For longer days out, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Hadrian's Wall are all within 15 to 20 miles, and the immediate area has established reputations for walking and fishing.
The cottage itself is a four-person property with two bedrooms—a double and a single, plus a pull-out single—and one bathroom across the ground and first floors. Downstairs holds a living room with a smart TV, a kitchen with electric cooking and a dishwasher, a utility room with a washing machine, and a study. Upstairs is the bedroom accommodation and a shower room; there is also an ensuite toilet off the main bedroom. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The enclosed garden has courtyard seating and furniture.
No smoking is permitted. One dog is welcome. There is on-road parking, and a travel cot is available if needed.
