Perfect location 10 minutes away from Penrith. Lovely hotel as a base for sight seeing and not too far from the Lake District . The room was lovely, the food great, the staff friendly and helpful and really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful countryside surrounds the area and some pleasant walks.

We stayed here unexpectedly due to a national rail issue. The Lady who attended to us for the evening is 1 in a million, massive thank you for helping us out with transport and making sure we were okay. The staff were lovely and our room was modern, clean and very comfortable. We will be returning one day to enjoy the hotel and its surroundings properly. Much Love from Scotland Chris X

The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us. Thank you. It had an old style fruit machine and a couple of traditional pub games too - these were good fun. The bar area and toilet facilities could do with a renovation to take it out of the 80s. The beer was good and so was the wine. They had Guinness and non alcoholic Guinness and ciders. The hot chocolates was good too.
