The Lodge Pod

The Lodge Pod is a single-bedroom, one-bathroom retreat with a hot tub, set on private land in a rural part of Westmorland and Furness. Everything you need for two people is provided: the essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, and the kitchen comes fully fitted with a gas cooker, microwave, air fryer and fridge-freezer, so you can cook as much or as little as you want to.

Layout is straightforward—one open-plan space holds the living area with a smart TV and electric fire, the kitchen, and a pull-down double bed in an alcove. The ensuite shower room is compact but complete. Outside, decking wraps around the pod with garden furniture, a barbecue, and your own private hot tub for two. A single parking space is included. No smoking is permitted inside.

This suits couples wanting a break away from noise, with Lake District attractions and local walking routes within reach. The surrounding countryside offers cycling, outdoor activities and small villages to explore, though the pod itself is the main draw—a self-contained base where you can move at your own pace.
