The Lookout

You step through the porch into a generous lounge where a wood-burning stove dominates an inglenook fireplace, with comfortable seating arranged to face it. The kitchen beyond has everything needed for cooking—a Rayburn, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer—while the dining table seats eight. A utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. The whole ground floor opens to gardens with a BBQ for summer cooking, and French doors blur the boundary between inside and out.

Upstairs, four bedrooms make up the sleeping arrangement. The master has a king bed, dressing area and ensuite with both bath and walk-in shower. A second bedroom, reached down its own steps, has high ceilings and exposed beams. Twin and double bedrooms occupy the remaining spaces, both with valley views. A family bathroom with shower over bath completes the first floor. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; underfloor central heating backs up the log fire, and the house comes with Netflix and Amazon Prime for the television.

Shared use of a sauna, steam room and games room is available nearby. The rural setting overlooks the countryside, making it suitable for groups of up to eight looking for a self-contained base. No smoking throughout.
