Excellent! Character house but with practical additions. Quiet peaceful location set back from street by 50 metres up driveway. Good kitchen equipment so you can cook whatever. Good central heating that you can control...not locked down. Modern double glazed windows that open for fresh air. Cozy wood fire but buy fuel at nearby supermarket or petrol stations. Nothing to fault for us. 5 mins walk to most everything in town so leave car no probs.

Really nice place for family trip. Location is great. Right in the town of Windermere but with off street parking and set back from the hustle.

Excellent self catering stay at Yew Tree cottage, 3 bedrooms, 2 toilets / showers, kitchen / diner, lounge and dining room. Everything you could want, TV, WI FI, secure enclosed garden (good if you have a dog) and on site parking in small shared courtyard (with neighbouring property, stable cottage) but can get 4 cars in if needed (lane from main road is a bit tight, I found it easier to reverse in, we have an Insignia and had no problem), very central, one street back from the main attractions so very quiet of an evening. The property retains a lot of traditional features which adds to the experience, would we stay there again, yes without a doubt. Oh and the owner had even left a bottle of preseco which was a nice touch.
