Guests can also use a games room and gym, and there's complimentary access to a local spa and sauna, along with an indoor swimming pool and a hot tub, useful after a day out on the fells or the water.
Outside, there's seating for warmer days, and the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports, along with nearby pubs and restaurants for evening meals. Lake Windermere and the wider attractions of the area are within easy striking distance, making the guest house a practical base for a Lake District stay.

We stayed for two nights with friends to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it couldn't have been a more perfect getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by the lovely hosts. Our room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and had so many thoughtful little touches. Returning after a day out to find a heart made from towels with rose petals on the bed was such a special surprise and made our anniversary feel even more memorable. The location was ideal, and the breakfast each morning was fantastic, with plenty of delicious choices to suit everyone. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration so special. We had a wonderful time with our friends, created some lovely memories, and would happily stay here again. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and relaxing place to stay.

When visiting Windermere, I had the pleasure of staying at Holly Lodge. As well as the reasonable price, what attracted me was the glowing online reviews and the eclectic decor. On arrival, i was greeted by the delightful Kirsty, who ran through everything with me. After a near 3-hour drive in scorching weather, I was desperately in need of a rejuvenating shower! I was staying in room 1 and everything was immaculately presented. I was also able to take advantage of the access to the Choices Health Centre, included in the price. It's a short car journey away, but it's an added bonus included in the price of the room. You can order your breakfast from the menu the night before, but there's also cereal options and toast available. Tea and coffee are available to drink, as well as orange juice and apple juice. I had the vegetarian full English breakfast, and wasn't disappointed. Overall, I was more than happy with my stay. I just wish I could have stayed for more than just the one night! A big thank you to Kirsty and all the staff. Your efforts are truly appreciated!

Lovely 2 night break. Parking is challenging but it is after all in the middle of the town surrounded by lovely restaurants and shops. I was a little disappointed in breakfast as there wasn't any fresh fruit or yogurts but the cooked breakfast was nice and hardly any waiting at all for service. Our server was so friendly and always made the effort to have a conversation....bless her.

Probably the nicest Guest House I've stayed in. Room 9 was really nice but can imagine during the summer months it is a sauna! Ideal location with cafes/restaurants/Sainsbury's all 2min walk away. Live in owners/managers are really friendly and welcoming Breakfast was good but the cafes (HomeGround Cafe especially) nearby are excellent! Parking was a slight pain as if there's a big car alongside the house you are trapped in or out but we got lucky with a space on the road.
