What guests say
This was my second stay at Beachlands and, as before, it was lovely. The room (22 in the outbuilding) felt like a proper holiday getaway and we managed to enjoy the garden, which wasn't so appealing during my previous stay in November 2021! The hotel is well located between Uphill and Weston seafront and staff were mostly really friendly, especially those on reception the day we checked out - we appreciated someone booking a taxi for us and following up when it was a little late. It was great to have access to the pool and sauna, which were nice and quiet each time we used them. The only slight criticism is that the smell of cooking from the kitchen is very noticeable in the pool, which isn't the most pleasant. Other than that, we loved our stay and I'll definitely be back again.

Stayed here for 3 nights (31May-3Jun). The main areas and rooms are just lovely and well cared for. The service is fantastic and so personal, you feel like a returning friend but with all the service of a 5*+ hotel. I could not fault anything at all. The restaurant is fantastic. Service for breakfast and Dinner was wonderful and so personal. You cannot miss this place and thank you for making my business trip so special, I would stay with you rather than any large chain anytime.

I have to say having booked at the last minute we were met with a very friendly welcome, proper old fashioned service where nothing was to much trouble. We choose the evening meal option which was excellent, very friendly helpful staff good food sensible price. A very comfortable bed good sized room and very warm. Breakfast was excellent from the service though to the food. Location is good close enough to town without being in the chaos. Thought we would just looked over Weston and move on but plenty to see and do and this friendly well run hotel means we will make a return trip.

I have to admit, I was extremely disappointed staying at this hotel, mainly because the room was so run down. It was nothing like the photos at all. The bath plug and the enamel around it was so badly rusted that it didn't/doesn't hold water in the bath anymore. The seal on the shower door was as old as the telephone (yellow in colour like the fan) It was completely pointless having a fan as old as that on in this heat, we didn't even know it was on. The dial didn't work to adjust the settings. The cups in the room were dirty, one even had a moth in it!! The bathroom door had an area of missing hooks and a holder on the wall by the tiles, holding absolutely nothing. The light on the ceiling was hanging down. The beds and headboards are about 50 years old and the carpet was heavily stained - it too, clearly hasn't been changed in years! The furniture was damaged, stained and dirty. (Old make up stains in the drawers and they weren't clean) After seeing all of this in the room, with the level of cleanliness being so poor, we decided not to go into the pool incase it hadn't been cleaned as regularly as it should be either! We gave breakfast a go. Tried to make the most of it.. Surprise, Surprise! I sit down to find a big ring of old tea inside the cup and asked if I could get it changed. I just couldn't believe that this cost me over £200 for 1 night. I wouldn't have gave £50 for it! It's daylight robbery. These people are pocketing the profit at the expense of expecting their customers to stay in rooms that are in desperate need of a renovation. The location was perfect by the beach and the staff were really friendly but that's not going to cut the fact that this place needs a serious hygiene check. Get it cleaned up and renovate the rooms for the guests at least. The room is what we're mainly paying for. I genuinely believe most of their reviews are from the older generation and are in need of glasses to see. How this hotel has a rating of "Fabulous" on booking.com, I will never know. These people clearly haven't lived lol It's a 1 Star from me at best!
