About Days Inn Sedgemoor M5

Days Inn Sedgemoor M5 is a low-rise, two-floor motorway hotel built for convenience rather than character, sitting right at Sedgemoor Service Area just off the M5. With 40 rooms spread across its compact footprint, it works well as a stopover for drivers heading towards Weston-super-Mare or Cheddar Gorge, or anyone wanting an easy break from the road.

Rooms are kept simple and relaxed, with family and accessible options available alongside standard doubles, and drinks provided in-room. Free WiFi runs throughout, and there's an on-site restaurant and bar for meals, plus continental breakfast to set guests up for the day. Practical extras include luggage storage, a laundry service, business facilities and meeting rooms, along with a picnic area and an electric vehicle charge point. On-site parking is available, though it comes at a charge.

It's a pet-friendly option, useful for anyone travelling with animals, and its position right on the service area means further restaurants and eateries are close by. This isn't a destination in itself, but as an unfussy, well-equipped base for exploring Somerset or breaking a longer journey, it does the job reliably.

Absolutely horrendous! The smell is so so strong and it's dirty! I fetched food back with me and it's that bad I just binned it! I was going to stay here for 4 nights as its a good location for were I'm working, but this place needs sorting out. I won't be back !!

The room was clean, but the overall experience fell short of expectations due to several inconveniences.First, amenities were very limited. The room description online pictured a love seat, but this was missing from our room, leaving us with limited seating consisting of just two basic chairs.Additionally, we faced a couple of functional issues. The television remote did not work consistently, even after the front desk changed the batteries. More importantly, there was no electrical outlet near the bed, which made plugging in a CPAP machine very difficult. The internet did not work correctly at first, either. I had to contact the front desk to reset the Wi-Fi, though it did work steadily after that. Management should note that routers need to be reset periodically to function correctly for guests.Communication at the front desk was also lacking. The 9.99 breakfast option was never mentioned to us during check-in; I only found out the hotel provided breakfast because I happened to notice a flier on the wall.On a positive note, the shower had very nice water pressure, though the water temperature could have been hotter.Value: AverageCleanliness: HighService: Below Average
