Didn't stay in the hotel, we went for a meal and drinks. Food was ok, nothing exceptional for the price but enjoyable all the same. Probably 7.5/ 8 out of 10. Staff very friendly. Clean pub, nice comfy seating and plenty of parking.

Phoned to enquire about booking the lounge for after my dad’s funeral and got laughed at on the phone because I didn’t want to book the catering I was told it wasn’t worth their time, horrible customer service especially considering the situation. Would have been just as easy to say they don’t do the lounge booking without catering on top and without laughing at me. Ridiculous.

Not staying here but was recommended to us by the owner of our B&B. We where greeted with a warm welcome in the bar and as we wanted to have food we're given the option of where we would like to eat. In the bar or as we chose taken through to the lounge. The food is that of a fresh home cooked meal with the portions being excellent for the price. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Would highly recommend if staying in the area.

This hotel may appear old-fashioned and homely, even quirky, but don't let that put you off. You'll get an enthusiastic and warm welcome and be served with a smile. It's very decent food as well, promptly served. A good pub meal that offers value.
