What visitors say
I visited here in June 2025. This is one of the local museums in Rye. This one focuses a bit more on everyday life and social history.

One room museum. Not sure why it is named castle museum. Castle is in different place. There are jus some random old items. For me most interesting was old fire brigade cart. It's free, just you are asked donation.

Small but full of Real History. Not to be confused with 'Ypres Tower' also called, Rye Castle Museum. Easy access. Free, but contributions are encouraged. Use it or lose it. Worthwhile if you are keen on local history. Friendly staff.
