Currently staying at The Hideaway and wanted to review as it is a little beauty of a hotel. The service from booking, to arrival and throughout our stay so far has been absolutely wonderful. The location is so beautiful and peaceful. It is a lovely walk to Windemere town and its a lovely walk down to Bowness for the lakeside attractions. There are great bus links just a short walk from the hotel. We have had the most delicious homemade cakes which have been gifted through our stay and currently is offered to all guests that book directly with them. It is the hidden treat that really makes it worth a visit! The pride that the owners take from start to finish is clear and my husband and I would highly recommend a stay to anyone thinking of booking here.

This is an absolutely fabulous hotel in every way. I stayed here with my Dad, and on our first day we had a puncture in our rental car. Sue and all the staff here were amazing. They looked after my Dad while I went to get it fixed and they looked after me with breakfast. They went above and beyond when it came to service and I wanted to thank them for that. The bedroom was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was top class. The location of the hotel is perfect, a short walk into the shops, pubs and restaurants of Windermere. Plenty of space to park. A lovely garden to enjoy. I'd have no hesitation recommending The Hideaway, and it would be a pleasure to be back here someday. (Oh, and yeah, the cakes are also a lovely touch - we enjoyed them every night of our stay!)

The Rooms where amazing I asked for roses and champagne as it was my wife's bithday. Her team made an amazing cake the roses where phenomenal Lisa and her team went out of there way to welcome us sing happy birthday it was amazing for my wife. The hotel itself is about 1½ mile from the lake an amazing walk. Its clean so welcoming the room was brilliant could not fault anything. The breakfasts where superbly made and presented fresh smoked haddock with eggs Full English some of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Over all if you want quiet comfortable and amazingly polite staff you could not go wrong. Highly recommend Hideaway Hotel and we will be going back.

Five stars for everything. The breakfast was magnificent-wide selection of freshly made, high-quality, and tasty food served in a very nice breakfast room. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has everything you really need from a first-class B&B. The staff were polite, friendly, professional, and couldn’t do enough for us. Finally, the location is excellent: it’s only a 7–8 minute walk to Windermere village, the local bus stop, train station and nice bars and restaurants. We had wonderful stay there.
