We had a lovely stay at Thornbank House. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent, with easy access to Windermere and the surrounding attractions. We also appreciated the complimentary access to the nearby health club, which was a great addition to our stay. Thank you for your hospitality. We had a relaxing and enjoyable visit and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

The guest house is in a perfect location. We made a last minute booking and we made the right choice. A lovely place to stay we couldn't fault anything. Jane and Mark are great hosts and we would definitely recommend Thornbank

Our stay at Thornbank House has been lovely in every detail. The communication with Mark and Jane was always quick, consistent and thorough. Our room was immaculately clean. The touches of guest toiletries and also tea and biscuits provided in our room were such a delight to have on hand. We slept well both nights. The area is beautiful and just a short walk to town. We’ve been very happy with our stay at Thornbank House. Thank you Mark and Jane!

Flawless. Jane, Mark and family are so incredibly warm and welcoming. Parking, getting us into the room and pre-ordering breakfast was all really efficient. The room was very clean and the bathroom especially was spotless – I couldn’t believe how clean it was. Hot drinks, snacks and homemade flapjack in the room. Bed was really comfy, lovely sheets. Breakfast was great. Really high-quality ingredients and perfectly made, nothing to improve on. Really attentive but easygoing service. We’d come to see a show at the theatre in Bowness and the house is a very easy, short walk from there.
