About The Prince Albert - Inn

Windsor is best known for its castle and riverside walks, but a short way out on Clewer Hill Road sits The Prince Albert - Inn, a compact seven-room hotel built around a proper pub. It's the kind of place where the bar downstairs is as much the point as the bed upstairs, with a garden for warmer evenings and a homely, welcoming feel that regulars and overnight guests both seem to appreciate.

Rooms are simple and few in number, so the place has more the character of an inn than a large hotel. Breakfast is included, and the restaurant and snack bar cover the rest of the day, with Angus burgers, triple-cooked chips and homemade coleslaw among the dishes people come back for, alongside a solid range of beers and lagers. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, though service can be slow at busier times. Free WiFi, luggage storage, drinks in the room, meeting rooms and concierge services are all available, and pets are welcome.

Free on-site parking makes it an easy base for exploring Windsor, and the Roald Dahl Museum is within reach for anyone after a day out, while Windsor and Eton Central station keeps the town centre and castle a short journey away.

Although it’s located at a busy main junction it’s a very picturesque British pub with the original carving and aesthetics, the inside is very clean and tidy it looked remodelled and was very comfortable with a beautiful outside garden area and plenty of parking. In my opinion the experience was almost surreal as I do many pubs and this one caught my attention not just for the building, the inside and the aesthetics but the food was night and day to other pubs, most burgers taste like frozen and bland, the Albert was like a top made burger the meat tasted fresh, meaty and the sauce amazing my son and I looked at each other because it was that good. 5 star food best pub food in years it’s a must visit pub add to your bucket list you won’t be disappointed.

Grandma and I had a brilliant stay at the Albert! 😊👍 Penny and Clair are fantastic hosts, that make you feel so welcome into their gorgeous pub! 👌 The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and very well appointed 💪 The location is fantastic, being just down the road from Legoland and Windsor, Heathrow airport, etc. 🗺️📍 We can’t wait to visit again, hopefully bringing our 3 kids next time, so they can enjoy the delicious food and wonderful atmosphere 💞 Thanks again to all the staff for making us feel so welcome! 🙏 Cheers, Matt & Grandma

All the charm of a British pub & hotel 😊 Rooms are spacious, spotless clean, and very cosy. Food is very pleasant with a nice variety of choice of good dishes. Staff is friendly and efficient. Location is great as you may either walk to the centre or take a bus (bus stops for multiple lanes within 200yd). I strongly recommend.

We stopped off for a meal after visiting Legoland, we never pre booked we just turned up and got welcomed for food and a table was made up for us. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food came quickly and was reasonable priced, portion sizes were good and tasty. A variety to choose from on the menu, including a variety on the children's menu. Would recommend 😊
