About Travelodge Windsor Central
Seven floors and 113 rooms make up Travelodge Windsor Central, a straightforward budget base on King Edward Court in the heart of Windsor. Its main appeal is location: Windsor Castle and the train station are both within easy walking distance, and the surrounding streets are full of shops, restaurants and other local attractions.
Rooms are en-suite with drinks-making facilities, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. A lift serves all floors, and reception operates around the clock. Some rooms show their age and there's no air conditioning, so it's worth bearing that in mind if you're visiting in warmer months. Breakfast is served on site and is generally well regarded for taste and value, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.
Pets are welcome, and there's a pub or bar nearby for evening drinks. Parking isn't available on site, but chargeable parking can be found three minutes' walk away at Q-Park Windsor Yards on Charles Street, and an electric vehicle charge point is also on hand. With the castle and station both close by, it works well as a simple, central stop for exploring Windsor on foot.
What guests say
Perfect location, friendly people, though.... Stayed here 2x last month after and before our flight in Heathrow and each time the room was very very hot. The second time we asked for a less warm room, but that was not an option. That night we had to put wet towels on our kids and ourselves in order to be able to sleep. We were very concerned about our dog who had big trouble to not overheat. We asked the reception to take care of a taxi to bring us to the airport in the morning and in the morning no cab was arranged, bummer!

I don’t like giving 1 star reviews, and it only gets that star for the friendly staff who must deal with a few complaints during there shifts. First up directions to the reception are dismal. If you come off Goswell Road follow the path near the bathroom business and you need to go up a level either stairs or small lift, health shop in front of you, turn right to entrance. Next the room which was a Super Room, no air cond, dismal shower pressure, room is stuffy so you open a window, then you have to decide noise (goes all night) or hot stuffiness. The fans supplied just move warm air around. Then the icing on the cake, on one of the hottest days of the year, no water. So no shower, no toilet flushing, no coffee. They had to close the kitchen so no breakfasts. If there is a chance that there is warm weather, be warned. We were on the 6th floor, I talked to someone who was on the 8th and they said it was almost unbearable. The hall ways were actually cooler. Not worth the price.

Best location to stay at in Windsor. So close to everything! Added option (for a cost) of choosing your own room which is great when you know the layout. I have stayed in the crappiest room (before being able to choose my own) which I must say was nearly enough to put me off. Special shout out to the manager and staff for allowing deliveries to be made for me before I arrived which they stored safely. Really over and above!! You get what you pay for so nothing fancy schmancy but the location is unbeatable. Looking forward to my next stay!!

Pretty decent travelodge, very ideal location wise right next to train station and town centre about 5 mins walk from the castle. Staff friendly, place not very busy. Cleanliness was fine apart from the end of the bed had some mud on it . Breakfast as you'd expect, bar okay. Overall decent does the job.
