York's best is on your doorstep from Ebor Cottage. The Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre, National Railway Museum and Clifford's Tower all sit within a fifteen-minute walk. The Roman walls and the maze of snickleways that wind through the old streets are there to explore on foot, as is the shopping, the cafés, the riverside pubs, and the restaurants that give the city its character. A spooky ghost walk departs nearby if you fancy an evening out. Further afield, Castle Howard, Harrogate, the market towns of the North York Moors, and the coast beyond Whitby are all within an hour's drive.
The cottage itself is a semi-detached property with views across York Racecourse. Downstairs there is a living and dining room with a smart TV and an electric woodburner. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and everything else you need. Upstairs, one bedroom has a kingsize bed and a smart TV; the other has two single beds. The bathroom has a bath and shower. Parking for one small car is available on site, with additional spaces on the road; neighbours do use the shared path to access their property. The essentials—electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels—are all included. No smoking.
