Rose Cottage is a ground-floor property completed in 2021 to contemporary standards, designed with accessibility and comfort in mind. Everything you need is included: heating, power, wifi, bed linen and towels. The open-plan living and dining space has a woodburner and French doors onto decking; the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and all the basics. One bedroom has a super kingsize bed, the other two singles. The wet room offers a double shower and heated towel rail. A four-person hot tub sits on the decked garden area, which also has furniture and a BBQ. Bike storage and private parking are on site. Dogs stay free and are welcome throughout, though they must be kept on a lead. The cottage does not permit smoking.
Strensall village has three pubs, shops, a post office and takeaways within walking distance. York Golf Club and Strensall Common—a large conservation area popular with birdwatchers—are nearby. Regular buses connect the village to York city centre, seven miles away, where you'll find the Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre, Railway Museum and galleries. Vale of York Country Park and Manor Park are also accessible from here for outdoor walks and family time.

This was our second visit and for longer. We love it. The cottages are amazing, fully equipped and a lovely welcome hamper. The location is perfect for visiting surrounding towns and of course York. Loads of supermarkets nearby. If you want an amazing quiet extremely comfortable place to stay with the added luxury of the hot tub, Hoxne Cottages is the place to come. Thanks for everything Tony, we will be back!

Had a lovely stay at Daisy Cottage for the weekend for one of our friends 40th. Great cottage with lovely small courtyard with hot tub. Only 10 min walk into village to the pub and a couple of shops (tesco express). 15 min taxi ride into york. Would definately recommend and will be returning. Thank you

We have just spent the Easter bank holiday weekend at the cottages for the daughter’s hen party The cottages are absolutely fantastic. Very modern and to a high standard. Everything you needed was there. The owner even set up a long table in one of the Cottage so that we were all able to eat together, a real thoughtful touch . There was also a lovely welcome basket in all the cottages as well another great touch. The hot tub was a great bonus also. Would highly recommend these cottages.

This was our 3rd or 4th stay at Hoxne Cottages, the fact we keep coming back speaks for itself. The place itself is very clean and comfortable. The hot tub is amazing. It’s so quiet which makes it perfect for relaxing and chilling out. It’s in a good location about 10 mins from Monks Cross retail park and 20 mins from York itself. Tony the owner was so accommodating with helping to put some balloons up and taking delivery for me, this was a big thank you and helped to make my mums birthday weekend even more special. As always will definitely be returning.
