The Bishop's Court is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom property sleeping four, set in a courtyard within York's medieval walls. A pub stands 400 yards away, and the city's independent shops, wine bars and tea rooms are all within a few minutes on foot. The Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre, Castle Museum and National Railway Museum are walkable; the racecourse and designer outlet lie ten minutes by car. The North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales are also accessible for day trips.
Downstairs holds a living room with Freeview TV and DVD player, and a kitchen/dining room equipped for cooking and eating together. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, one with two single beds. A shower room serves both. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included, and there is parking for one car on site. No smoking is permitted.

Bishop's Court is not a hotel. One of the houses in Bishop's Court is an AirBnB property which can be booked to stay in and two others are similar (other websites), but the other properties in Bishop's Court are private residences. The photos and reviews here relate to the houses which can be booked one night at a time, not to a nonexistent hotel. I repeat, there is no hotel! I know this as I live here!

Absolutely perfect location in walking distance to all attractions in York. The house is lovely and well furnished and has a parking space suitable to medium size car which is a bonus.

Lovely 2 bedroom house literally 3 minutes walk to the river and 5 minutes from the edge of York shopping area and York attractions. House is very comfortable and well equipped. Clever use of space and excellent communication from the owner. Have already recommended this property to friends and family. The parking space directly outside the property is a real bonus.
