Location was good. Only a 10minute walk to the shambles. The rooms are okay but the bathroom really needs to be looked at. Very grimey in areas as shown in photos. The shower gel was empty for the bath and the handwash looked like it hadnt been changed in months. Didn't feel too comfortable taking baths/showers. The buffet breakfast was nice. The staff were okay but I did find them not overly friendly and disappeared from reception a lot. As I wanted to explore the city, it was sufficient enough for 2 nights but no longer than that.

Another, why have business booked a Premier Inn moment. Room was ok, air con worked, although unable to open window to let fresh air in. No water in fridge, as it was a Premier room, you turn up, not greeted as noone on desk, so you use the self check in, zero fs give for guests here. Car park is deceptive, they say get a code and its just £16, but it £16 whether you use a code or not, there is a much cheaper option opposite the car park entrance, just use that. I still find it amazing that I have to ask them to clean my room during my stays. Or when they don't change the toilet rolls, I have to go to desk, ring bell and in the foyer ask for this, why not just do your job. The business last year spent in excess of £4,000 on these places, I have put a stop to it, we will now book elsewhere as PI are run on a skeleton staff, very few cleaners and a boutique hotel in the centre, was only £10 per night more

This hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the city centre. However, the service was lacking. I’m currently using crutches after a knee operation and received no assistance getting up the entrance steps, checking in, or reaching my room. The room itself was great – clean, air-conditioned, equipped with a tea/coffee machine and TV. Despite only about seven people in the dining area, I had to wait until 8 p.m. for a table. The food was good, and breakfast the next morning was excellent.

This was a lovely place to stay. I had a fantastic view of the minster, and the rooms were very clean. The ambient lighting created a cosy atmosphere. Depending on your destination, the walk into York isn't very long. If you're arriving by train, I'd suggest taking a taxi, as the walk is about 30 minutes otherwise. However, the walk is lovely if you have time to see York along the way. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, fresh, and hot. I highly recommend this primer inn.
