Lee was very enthusiastic and ensured we knew all the facts about the history of York's chocolate story. My mom and I bought the couple's bundle at £50 for two admissions, two boxes of 6 chocolates and two hot drinks. Well worth the money! Two dark chocolate samples, a kit kat, a humbug and some Quality Streets on the way round the experience, make your own white chocolate lolly and try some of the chocolatier's freshly made chocs, the pick your own 6 from the various in the shop! Absolutely brilliant, well worth the visit

Immersion learning experience for young ones! I loved that it was multi medium format of teaching (theatrically presented by a talented Austin) who..from the history of rowntree to the making of chocolates using 3D projection mapping and of course lots of opportunities to sample chocolates non stop! My 6 year old said it was the best highlight of the entire trip! Tip: book the early morning slots for some discounts

My husband and I visited on a Sunday in the school holidays. We paid for the couples special offer of £50. We had Rose as our tour guide who said she was new to doing the tours but did a great job, very informative and even kept the kids in the group entertained too! There were quite a few samples to taste throughout, some dark chocolate and then a quality street and a KitKat! We all got to make our own chocolate lolly too which was fun! Then there was a demonstration of how they make the chocolates in the moulds and we got to try the lemon and white chocolate one which was delicious. The staff throughout the whole place were lovely, from the guide tours to the ladies that served us in the cafe! We also had a hot chocolate each, I had the white chocolate and orange and my husband had the caramel and orange hot chocolate. Both were very sweet but delicious! Also included in our ticket was a box of 6 chocolates each and we chose 12 different ones so we each get to try half of one! Overall a lovely little bit of history surrounding chocolate and equal parts eating chocolate!
